Im finding it very hard to sell my car! Can any one give me any hints/tips because i wanna get rid of the GTI and get myself an R32 or something different. I try keeping it clean and iv got local adverts everywhere but i cant seem to get any ones attention
If any one knows any good ways of attracting attention or selling a car, please help :)

Put it in the classifieds on ebay, advertise it on all the golf forums and link it to your ebay advert. Did that with my Mkiv.
Sold it within 24hrs to the first viewer.

Also advertise here:

........................but as you are in Gib, this might out off some UK buyers - are you prepared to deliver/ship to UK as part of the deal - this may help ?
Good luck.

I am willing to do anything to get rid of the car (it sounds really spoilt) Another thing thou, the Steering is on the opposite side as to you guys in the UK so i dont think many people in the UK will be interested. I really wanna get my hands on the R32 before summer finishes and school starts.

ManuGTI is a student at a school. He is 18 years old and is not thinking clearly. But lets not go there.
He has more manoey it seems than sense and personally I feel that he is taking this to far.

Now why do you think that is? Im a student too. i know what you are thinking and I think that you sound desperate for attention. I sound like a @sshole but its my opinion. Shoot me

Not looking for attention, i think i get enough attention driving to school in my GTI when i do butt....i will be driving the car down from Germany and as School starts in september, i will be doing my AS Lvl's which will be very important as i wont be able to miss school to be able to go to Germany to buy a car. At the moment we are on our summer holidays so i have more than enough time to waste. Get Me??

If its proving hard to sell your GTI, don't you think its going to be even harder to sell an R32 when you are bored of it in two months time?
-
P.S Sorry about my english being really bad at the moment but im just not bothered to think and type at the same time lol

Part Exchange???

Part Exchange???
Cars in Germany, on German Plates, my cars in Gibraltar with Gib plates, they wont accept as a part exchange as they would need to pay import duty and all that other rubbish.

personally adding my 2pence worth in, Are you fully prepared for a few extra costs, higher fuel costs 20-22 town average. higher insurance, you are 18 and if not most insurers may not insure you, or maybe quote thousands. The car isnt the most greenest car on the market which may make it even harder to shift once you get fed up of the lovelly v6 noise.Given also you live in gibralter,WHERE ON EARTH can u drive it someone that has a land mass of 5 pence peice!!. i think your selling the GTi too early. The R32 ok is good, but think this idea is gonna cost you a small fortune.Do u have your own House or are you still at home, if so dont put yourself in more financial Hardship to get on the property market in years to come, in other words dont be another Money grabbing School kid!!!.

I heard a great saying once, "have a house you can't afford and a car you afford to loose."
The house will go up in value and the car down.....:nerd:

I still live at home and in Gib i drive my sisters Micra 1.2! Its cheaper to run in Gib and slower and stuff but the Golf we use to drive in Spain as it is very comfortable to drive and has the power when you need it. The only reason i decided to sell my car was to buy another golf but with 5 doors as it will be more practical for my parents when we go to spain. We are a physically big family and it will be hard for them to get in and out of the car with three doors. If i do find a buyer for this GTI it doesnt have to be an R32 which i buy, i may very will try and get an Edition 30 but with 5 doors and a better spec than my current GTI.
And to do with the houses....my dad is slowly getting into real estate, he has alot of houses around gib, atleast more than 10, and houses in Spain, UK and India...so really if i ever feel i need a house to live in, i have quite a choice, and i know i do sound really really spoilt being an 18 year old but yes i really do depend on daddy, and i do plan to help him with business after Uni n stuff, thats why he helps me alot and i do currently work with him in the shop and help him with plans for houses and stuff so....

Yes... just ignore the comments from some people around here - who are in the minority. This forum has a very friendly and welcoming attitude towards all which is why I always come here rather than anywhere else. As for the money you have, its no-ones business.
