hi could someone tell me where the idl valve is on mk3 2.0 gti 16v.engine keeps rev at 1600 rpm every now and then thought i would clean valve out.
-
its on the top of the engine attached to the manifold under the plug leads plastic cable router thing
-
many thanks
-
how do you get this out?? what would you clean it with? (sorry for hijacking)
-
Undo the three allen head boltd that attatch the h-t lead holder to the head, pull off hose that goes to air box,and its easier to undo last allen head bolt holding the vale ,take electrical plug off isv then lift up,should just pull out of inlet manifold as is in a push fit rubber...oh and mind you dont snap you dipstick tube while your fiddling about down there!
