Cream leather was always an option for the Rivage but it was only the 50 Pearl Green ones that had it as standard...

Did they only make 50 pearl greens ? I thought it was more, I heard of the 500 that were made, the blue ones out numbered the green ones by 2 to 1, (so I'm guessing about 200ish) this was something I heard so I cannot confirm or deny how correct this information is.

You could be right mate - I'm sure I read somewhere that there were only 50 green ones though... will have a look to see if I can find the source  :undecided:

Here are the cab spec's from VAG, can't find details on the colours

1991 - 337 GTI Cab
1991 - 977 Clippers
1991 - 155 Sportline
1991 - 133 Rivage GTI

1992 - 38 GTI Cab - mine car is number 20 of these 38 - Nice and rare me thinks!!
1992 - 522 Clipper
1992 - 149 Sportline
1992 - 211 Rivage GTI

1993 - 217 Clipper
1993 - 143 Sportline
1993 - 126 Rivage GTI

1994 - 3 Clipper
1994 - 1 Sportline
1995 - 1 Clipper

A limited number (252 imported by VAG UK) had leather interiors (Rivage LTH), but were not fuel injection.

Just on the topic of Rivage's. i picked up my green one 2 years ago with no history 94000 miles, but one of the previous owners has taken out the original leather interior (i think) and replaced it with dirty stained blue crapness....... I've been looking into getting it back to its original spec, but again.... I don't know if it had cream leather, all i know is they are rare, plus when i bought it i didn't realise the amount of $$$ i'd have to plough into it  :undecided:...... Halfway there tho! Just thought i'd tell someone!

Aye maybe so Si, but onwards and upwards. It's been raining loads lately so I've not been able to miss having a cab.

Rich-E, I'm sure you know this, but your pearl green Rivage must look poo with green metallic paint, black hood and blue interior. Yours should have cream/beige leather interior and door cards back and front (have they gone too ?) as all green ones did and I've never seen an original green one without the leather interior. Good luck finding the interior as I don't think I've ever seen one for sale. You could always retrim your blue seats though if you had no joy.

Your interior should look like this -

Yes..... Yes it does look a bit poo, Exterior is fine but interior lets the car down. Its a shame it doesn't have the complete leather but then again if it did have it.... it wouldn't have been for sale locally.  I have been looking on E-Bay for Leather interior but no such joy (hardly suprising really) but how much would a retrim be. I'm talking door cards, seats the lot as this may now be my only option.

Joe, one of the mods on here is a trimmer, he should be able to help you out, give you a price and be able to do it. If you can't find him, let me know.

Cheers Gibby, that info could come in handy. I'd be intersted to find out how much it would cost from a professional cause it needs to be done sooner rather than later, If you could let me know more details for this chap that'd be swell

Also i see you're a Liverpool fan......... Good on ya
