Title: Changing doors?
Post by: Agreeable Slick on 14 July 2007, 10:41
Anything i need to know about them, or is it simply, unbolt, knock out the pins and hey presto?

Doing it today on both front and rear passengers, so any tips welcome. Cheers.

Nah, the pins are a piece of piss, nothing to it, undo the pin, unscrew the bottom, then top whilst someone is holding the door, and job done. Bluefox has pics, which i presume he will put up.

Yes mate, unscrew the pin, knock it out, and then undo the hinges, took about 30 mins to take off and replace, only difficult bit was getting the central locking to all sync up and work, which involved pulling the door apart once to get it all going properly. Easy enough job to do, just waiting on pics now.

The vacuum central locking looked pretty easy to sort out, but my car's got aftermarket units fitted with electric actuators. Which are bastards. Argh.
All done now though, will update project diary tomorrow probably.
Yes, they are simple to fit... but less so to get sitting correctly...
