Just out of interest do MK2 gtis come with ABS? More specifically im interested in 1990 8vs.
-
some did, some didn't if it was a run out i think they were all pretty much fitted with it, but they weren't until 91ish.
It was a optional extra i believe.

e x t r a !

mines an 91 8v runout without ABS. so i guess its an extra!! id rather it had ABS than electric mirrors though! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
-
was never available on RHD mk2 as an option due to space etc.

Obviously it was, cos there are hundreds with it on.
-
he is right ABS is only on some lhd mk2 golfs as where the servo goes on a rhd there is no room for the pump.

...aren't they Rallye's though? I've never seen a Golf with ABS except a Rallye...

G60s had PAS as Well. I think the Edition One has it as standard.
EDIT!!!!!!!!!!!! My brain is fried. I meant ABS. My G60 has ABS (and PAS )
-
lots of mk2s had PAS though didn't they?
-
are we on about ABS or PAS?
im sure it started off as ABS... cos my 91 8v (RHD) definetely has PAS... but definetaly does'nt have ABS...

We're talking about ABS. That's why it has ABS in the title
PAS seems a very common option.
-
pas was standard on 16v's from 1990 and standard on 8v's from 1991
-
My 1992 8v has PAS but no ABS
I was always under the impression none came with ABS :undecided:
