Title: driver side rear brake light
Post by: TOFF on 17 February 2004, 21:49
Don't know why but it won't work. Changed the bulb, swapped the actual unit from the other side still wont work. Think it might be the actual conector that goes into the back of the unit. Anyone know what it might be. All the other rear lights work so it isn't a fuse.

the driver side is in no way affected by the passenger side wiring is it? Had a smash and smashed in all the back left hand side, the whole unit was replaced. The funny thing is the side that was undamaged now has the problem!!

Both sides will have a separate loom.
Get a multimeter and check for a feed to the lights.

There are 5 bulbs and 6 wires going into the universal connector in the back of the unit. I guess, 1 of these is ground and the others are for each bulb. I'll get the multimeter on the wiring tomorrow.
