Looks great...but why the 'DSG' badge?
-
looking good; i'd lose the dealer sticker in the back window though
-
yes i will, keep forgetting to loose the dealer sh!t sticker, and DSG badge is to point out to Manual GTi owners "dont bother!" lol
Update: dealer stick now HISTORY
-
unless they run an e30 :p
looking good mate :)
-
Looks fantastic Phil.
Where did you get the DSG badge?
Nevets
-
looks great Phil, but my dealer sticker came off Day 1!
-
Great looking car....
I've really warmed to the blue colour ( esp with these pix).
btw.
My dealer didnt put a sticker in (without even having to ask).... I was well chuffed.
-
Lovely pics Phil. Must admit If Blue was an option in the ED30 it would have been a no brainer for me
Nice to see the GolfGTI stickers being used and I put mine in the same locations
Mine is seriously in need of a good spit and polish at the mo :embarassed:
-
Dsg badge was bought from ebay, if you put in search on ebay for funny enough "dsg badge" and see if u find any, mine came from germany, took approx 1 week to arrive.
unless they run an e30 :p
only steve if its a dsg ed30, wouldnt loose me in your manual ed 30 from standing start, may be different story overtaking
-
Looks lovely to be honest, but how on earth did you manage to get a break in the weather long enough to polish your car.
-
piss-taking aside Phil....laser blue is a fantastic colour for the GTI
-
Looks stunning Phil
-
Nice nice
But IF this paint were available on Ed30... still would not choose it.
Also, those mudflaps DESTROY the look, whatever good they do! They make GTi into a GRANDPA'S car.
Crucify me, but I'll never ever change my opinion of mudflaps on a MKV GTI! THEY MUST BE GOOONE!!!!
But, hey, it's a family car, and Phil loves it, so good on him!
-
Very nice, I myself would not colour code it i like the laserblue contrast with the black.
-
Well the photo's got me wanting to do mine, sun came out so 1st chance to give the car the clay bar treatment, since I got the car 4 weeks ago.
Washed
Megs clay....on its last legs after today
Zymol cleaner wax
Detail...usual tyre and trim stuff
VW leather treatment....good leaves the leather a little shiney so see if it soaks in

And a picture of my wifes car from 18months ago, didn't keep it long, listended to the hype to much and jumped in and bought it. Wife hated it and I never thought it was that fast, traded from a ST170 which was nothing but bother, so have no photo's, car best forgotten. GTi in my opinion is miles ahead of the CTR.

And a car that was really nice, 325i sport, but way to thirsty and twitchy particularly in the wet...
GTi is the best car I have had as an all rounder.
-
Lovelly tash, shes looking Very wet. which is fabulous. ctr agreed is pants, and never owned a bmw,but from what ive heard, Most BMW's are vastly overpriced , and cost too much when they gone wrong.
-
Very very nice phil!! I actually got my car back yesterday from the garage, they cleaned out the interior and gave the exterior a good polish and wax, had the camera in the car but left the mem stick at home..i will take pics today if the car still looks good! Il try and get some good pictures of Gibraltar aswell
-
I don't think BMW are overpriced. They are priced just right for a brand of SUCH caliber. Cars are compared to a beemer almost all the time, that means something. They have great sixes, the 8 in old M5 was praised to the sky and so is the 10 in the new M5. They have great drive (when it is not wet and the engine is up to par).
GTI as an allrounder is unbeatable though.

Lookin good Phil m'laddo
-
Looks great  almost mistake it for DPB in that evening light
-
Here's to all the DSG Badge owners!!
