Title: MK 2 gti head gasket replacement?

hi people i will possibly be purchasing a C reg mk2 gti sunday but the headgasket has gone, is it much of a job removing it and replacing the gasket? im an engineer so skimming the head wont be a problem just wondering if it is worth my time?
your advice would be appreciated

nah not a particulary difficult job, just take your time over it. haynes actually details it quite well iirc
