Can't believe the number of people I know compared to a couple of years ago who now have hot hatch's, Meg 225's, Focus ST, Skoda VRS, Astra VXR, impreza etc, I think there has been a boom again in hot hatch sales? Don't know anyone with another GTi, yet anyway....mate want's mine though after a little blast around the block

Methinks I might trump you all!....I'm 60 and don't mind growing old as long as I don't have to grow up. I possibly have the most heavily modified Mk5 GTI road (not track) car on this forum too.
I have a daughter who is 16 and a son 4 years younger who died when he was 4, so I know how to live for each day.

-
Sorry Robin - I'm nearly 62 - but still rocking and competing in 24 hour mountain bike races

i am pleasently suprised at the ages of people on this forum who own a GTI
I didnt realise most people are +40years of age. And there i was thinking the GTi was only enjoyed by people in their 20's. You devils
There is only 1 GTI in York where i work, i've seen it about 3 times. The guy driving it looks in his 50's or 60's. His GTI is exactly like mine; Black 3dr with 17's (i think). Boy he looks like a dude. Hats off to you sir
Locally, in stockton on tees where i live, i come across a red one (3dr) alot and it appears to be owned by a married middle aged couple.
Women sure do look HOT in a GTI
They would look better in mine
-
31... and counting
-
34, no points and no previous convictions... Good lady who's a funny shape... 1st baby due next week.
Look forward to driving to work everyday in my current baby

I'm 42 later this year and thought that I was getting too old for a hot hatch but then I tried the GTi and thought 'this will be my last hot hatch. I really need to buy something a bit more sensible.'
I said that last time though... and the time before...

37 (not for much longer!)
Lets face it... You need a few years to get some no claims to make the insurance cheap enough for a GTI to be a realistic option.

....You're not having a mid-life crisis, you're having a second childhood and life is wonderful!
Seems to me that there is a very wide range of ages on this site and that's a very good thing
