Title: Help me find the outside temperature sensor!
Post by: Irish Scorcher on 03 July 2007, 09:22
Hi there,

The only thing that's faulty on my MK2 16v is the outside temperature reading. I am sure the sensor has gone...but where the hell is it? I know it's somewhere in the bumper but I couldn't find it. Can anyone help?!

Also, once I find it, where could I get a replacement. All advice welcomed.

Thanks to one and all,

Rob

The outside temp sensor is under the bumper below where the battery is - if that makes sense!  It's a 2" long black plastic thing if memory serves me right and personally I'd just pop down to the scrappers for a replacement, but saying that they maybe not that dear from GSF/ECP anyway.

Passenger wing, little black sensor looking thing. As Matt says its about the same height as the bumper.

Thank you both for the assistance.
I'm sure I'll find it now!
