Title: hmm does she want oil or not?

Hi I recently posted about having an oil leak, well i havn't had time to look at it properly but it seems to have totally stopped for some reason.  The ground is no longer dripping in oil when i get up in the morning and everything goes ok except.......
When I drive, occasionally the oil light will flash at me accompanied by a strange buzzing noise, now the oil light never worked before when i nearly ran out of oil, so why does it work now?  So I leave the car to settle for an hour and take a reading off the dipstick...wtf its overfilled hmmmmm so i park up and leave the car overnight thinking it obviously needs to cool down a hell of a lot more before i take a reading, the next day it still reads overfull  hmmmmmm does my baby want some oil or not?  Also sometimes the back lights decide they dont want to work and i have to tinker around with the dash to get them to come on but i spose that's another problem.

do you check the oil on level ground....?

yeah, she is still reading overfull but the leak has started up again so i guess all is well, and i aint ceased her yet so im gonna rely on the dipstick, although it is strange.

sometimes they leak around the oil filer housing but this is only noticeable when the engine is under load (i.e. driving) and it drips straight on to the road, so you dont get any drips on your drive either
