Title: Vag Com error, Any help please?

I have bouught a diagnostic lead and installed vag com on my mates laptop.
I have tried using the software on both my mk4 & his mk3 and get the following error.

Vag Com port test
Com port status ok
Interface: 3 not found or not ready

Anyone got any clues?

from hearing a few tales like this, it is not worth buying some cheap-ass old cable and dodgy software!!

Mine doesnt work without the engine running , try that.

yeah make sure the ignition is on otherwise it don't work lol

alternatively register you're interest in the VAG COM group buy; see the link in my sig  :wink:

Have you installed the drivers for the lead ?

I got one from ebay and it works fine, but I had to download some drivers from the net first.
