Title: 300bhp**EDITION 30**HEAVY RAIN**
Post by: ed30 on 30 June 2007, 11:45
GOOD TEST TODAY,
WE HAD TO COLLECT ITEMS FROM NEXT VILLAGE,RAIN IN WEST WALES BAD TO SAY LEAST,WIFE DROVE CAR,DECIDED TO KEEP BLUEFIN ON,WHEN SHE RETURNED SHE STATED NO DANGER, SHE FELT VERY SAFE THERE IS MORE THROTTLE CONTROL THAN STANDARD AND THAT POWER THROUGH FRONT WHEELS IN RAIN IS EASILY CONTROLLED,(HER WORDS NOT MINE)WE BOTH FEEL THAT POWER IS MORE CONTROLLED,ON STANDARD SETTING YOU FEEL BIGGER TURBO SPOOL UP AND POWER KICKS IN ,IN MODIFIED FORM
IT MORE PROGRESSIVE AND THROTTLE CONTROL IS EASIER.

:undecided:

I have to agree Phil, it is quite rude to do that online but maybe Ed 30 doesn't realise that.  Anyway, we all have an option if we feel like that - and that is to ignore the thread and let others who aren't offended reply to it...

Interesting post by the way Ed30.  Are you saying that the Ed30 is somehow tamer in re-mapped form?!

i think the ecu has been refined slightly, yes you have more power but it seems more controllable the ed30 in standard trim power seems to hit you from 2.400revs up and comes in fairly instant, with the ecu modified it seems to be more effortless the engine sounds less strained and power is constant
its quite hard to explain but if you get a chance ,try it in ed30/gti form,im now glad i fitted it.
My wife stated that the car is now easier to drive than before, throttle control is superb
