Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of selling my car: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=61430.10
But i am getting mixed feedback about its value,
I have been told that it is a rare campaign model, but only thought there was a mk1 golf campaign model?
How much do you think my car is really worth?
its just that a few people say i'm asking too much for it, but some people are saying its too cheap?
i would really appriciate any comments you might have
Cheers
Joe

Hi Joe
I think it's worth £1500 all day long. Unfortunately you've told everone on e bay you only want £1275 for it so thats gonna put the bids down. Mk2 prices change depending on which way the wind is blowing at the moment. It's a great example so stick to your guns and take the gamble. If your private ad sees any interest near what your asking for it, hold out, but i definately wouldn't sell it for any less.
Hope this helps.
Oak green will always be the best colour in my opinion and that should be reflected in the price.

What is it wiith Oak Green? The colour although nice is common as muck.
Or are you talking about the super rare ebay Oak Green ??

Oak green is one of the overhiped colours, everyone chucks it about saying its rare and desirable but oak green is as common as tornado red in my eyes, there are rarer colours out there!
The other problem you have is the fact that your car is a campaign model but effectively the value has been decreased with the addition of big bumpers and the bbs ra alloys, ok they would appeal to some people out there but most people like me would be put off by this.
Really its a hard one to price as the market for mk2s is a bit all over the place at the minute, at the end of the day if someone is looking for a car that spec they will pay what they want to get it
