got a bargain set of 18 inch alessio f1s, got them home then realised there 5 stud and my car is 4, DAMMIT!!! knew i should have checked but bloke just said he had them on his mk3 and i never even checked
looks like i'll have to buy a mk4
-
Some Mk3 where 5 stud, buy a mk3 Gti!!!!!!!
-
no, its just an excuse for me to get a mk4!
means ive time to strip, polish and paint them, have them lookin fan-bloody-tastic!
-
can you convert your car to run gti hubs and brakes?
-
i could but this car was supposed to be a cheap car till she passes her test, then go get a newer one. but im going to veedubs to get a gti bodykit so may have a look to see if i could get new hubs, could even see if they have any new dampers and springs and.. NO, must stop myself, need to resist
its already got a set of 17inch oz polaris's on so they'll have to do for now, just seen these 18s at a ridiculous low price and had to have em.
-
could always stick em back on ebay. i dabble a bit with alloys and 18 inch wheels with a 4 x 100 fitment should fetch a fair bit given they will go on vauxhall, vw, honda civic, renault. loads of stuff. just make sure the headline of the listing attracts enough people! get em sold, make some money, buy some more!!
-
resale is the only way... lets hope the person you were bidding against is still interested. if you can look on ebay and find out who it was.. offer him them for what you paid.. least you don't lose out!!??
Good Luck!

:undecided:
didnt buy them off ebay, was a lad from work whos mates just sold his mk3 and just wanted rid of them cos hes moving house, i just heard mk3 and said yeah i'll have em!
ive started the refurb, but getting down to the alloy is proving harder than i thought, might just fill, sand and spray, would be a lot easier!
