Hey, well after taking my car for a quick drive then after being stood for a week I noticed it was pulling down at the back a bit when I was accelerating and the handbrake is doing bugger all (or very little) whenI pull it up.
Is it common for the rear calipers on mk2's to seize or could it be something less costly?
Cheers,
Andy

Could be a seized hand brake cable. Unhook the handbrake cables at the caliper side and see if the wheel spins freely
if not then spray some WD40 on the handbrake mechanism (spring area) and then WACK it with a large hammer

That normaly free's the caliper up

Ok mate i'll try that! Funny how a hammer can solve almost any problem

Just replace them only takes about an hour - if like me you hven't done it before!
I got a set of 2nd hand ones from volksapart I think it was, they came to about £70 including delivery and guarantee for 2 months, they also have reconditioned ones for £120 delivered.

Ive used mk3 recon ones which are better
Try the cables first
