Title: new girl
Post by: Mizz_P on 22 June 2007, 10:19: hey guys, just thought id pop in to say hi. im 19 and i own a mk4 2.0 gti. had her 2 years now and ive decided its time for a few small mods. first on the list is to have her lowered 60 all round. do you have any input on whether this could cause me too many problems/hassle with it being this low? thanks!

60 maybe a bit much on a Mk4. 40mm would be better IMO.

You had a mk4 GTI since 17? 1st car? nice one, bet your insurance company love you! :laugh:

60mm i reckon, thats the drop i just had and the car looks sooooooooo much better! rides a tad bumpy but i can live with that!

Sure I read somewhere that the ARB mounts catch at anything more than 40mm on a mk4?

tis true. though it seems to vary; some people will have problems whilst others wont :undecided: 30-40mm drop should be safe enough and still look good :afro:

Black wheels seem to be the trend right now!!! Better than the pink ones Halfords now sell!!!!!

The Chevette was a standard 1.3 4 door saloon Reg GBJ 484T (thats sad i owned it 14 years ago!!!)
she cost me Ã‚£60 and when i scrapped it was the shiniest car in the breakers!!!

snap! 1st car at 17...ermmm 17 years ago now lol
stuck sum big chrome wheels on the back and then proceeded to kill the gearbox by doing wheelspins in a petrol station..oops

you live and learn...well ok maybe you dont learn :rolleyes:
