I've had a dash rattle for a while... I've read a good topic on this and have considered the DIY fix.
More recently I've had a rattle in the driver's door which is usually sorted (short term) with a swift thump.
Now, more annoyingly, I have an intermittent rattle from the back. It sounds like the tailgate, but I'm not sure.
Can anyone shine any light on this?... before I have to resort to several wasted trips to the dealer for a severe fobbing off.

prob the catch on the back seat. Try putting the rear seat down and see if it stops.
I have cured about a dozen different rattles and squeeks on mine including the ones you have listed.

Had a bad rattle from in the right hand side vent, just right of the rain sensor and the tech squertted lube down,no good,so he must have removed all the rain sensor/top air vent, and got inside as he cured it,think he said a welded bit of plastic had failed prob on prod line.
I have found on previous cars and this one, remove everything in the car(all your sh!te)mine includes air freshener/pen/etc,then if it is new and you have never had the seats down/rear belts used etc, make sure all seats are fully home, put your belts in the catches, check you spare is tight, and put your lass in if ness and tell her to listen and keep f/ing quiet!!!!

Dropped mine off at the dealers. They fixed it no problem. No more centre vent rattle. You might as well use your warrenty while you have it.

You're right TagnuT but it's too much hassle at the mo. Cheers for the info Cass.

The only rattle I've had was from the tailgate. I thought it might be the back seat catch but proved it wasn't. Then in an unusual experience at the dealer, they were very helpful! The technician sat in the boot while I drove over rough surfaces (not hard to find) and he agreed the noise was from inside the tailgate. When I got back he took the car into the workshop and returned it later, fixed. It was wiring inside the tailgate that wasn't properly fastened to its clip. So maybe yours is the same...

Cheers Chris,
Funny you should say that... I got in the back while the good lady drove. I smacked my head when she pulled off, she talked constantly, banged over speed bumps and I spent most of the ordeal praying for my passenger side wing mirror. needless to say I am no further forward.
The dealers, here I come.
