iv a tornado red mk2 gti. only had her for a year, but the rear texture on the boot lid is buggered.its flaking away, and is a nasty grey colour. now the thing is, im not really too bothered about having it there.can we see any problems, im thinking the noturious tornado colour fade.but the good news is, there doesnt seem to be any bubbling underneath, yet!

no doubt peeling it off, you'll see a difference in colour but a decent mop and polish shoulc be able to get the paint back, good excuse to get on top of it!

what would you define as a decent mop and polish? I T-Cut and waxed the GTI 2 weeks ago and already the roof is starting to go pink and cloudy again....

There's more than one reason it's known as Tornado Pink... ;)

It's pretty much a loosing battle..... I'm investing in a respray and a good quality car cover to keep the evil sun off
If only I had a garage!

I peeled my vinyl off the sides and got no change in colour but the paint on mine has been regularily waxed from new and is still red, lol. Pink water marks in places but nothing major

what is with the water marks? i washed my car, polished, auto glym ultra gloss protection sealant, and then collinite wax. washed it today, was lazy with no leather to dry it off,and water marks everwhere!
