Title: HARNESS LAP MOUNTING POINT ON TUNNEL SIDE
Post by: lewis1641 on 18 June 2007, 18:00
hi sorry if this has been covered but i cant find it.

i have an 87 8valve which is road legal but used for track days.  presently the standard front seats are being used with willans harnesses without problems.  i have just picked up a pair of corbeau forza buckets and plan to fit them very soon.  the problem is when i remove the standard seats i will lose the mounting point for the lap part of the harness on the tunnel side of the car. how do people get around this issue?  thanks in advance and i do apologise if this is the sort of issue people get bored of hearing about!!

You can get mounting plates from Demon Tweeks with the correct thread for the eyebolt FIA approved type (the best) are about £2. These should be welded in.
