OK. any ideas on this one gentlemen?
whilst driving in any gear it seems if i put my foot to the floor the engine will rev through the roof immediatly with no increase in power to the wheels. i can still drive the car fine be it like a granny, i just have to take it easy on the throttle. which i do most of the time anyway but this is rather annoying and i think its getting worse.
could it be my clutch slipping?
cheers?

Sounds like its slipping. Is your bitting point near the top?
-
sounds like your clutch is going buddy, mine is doing the same thing - if i boot it in 4th and 5th it just slips!

if ya have an auto adjust cable, get a manual one and adjust it as per http://www.brokevw.com/releasearm.html

cheers geezers! my biting point is fairly high at the mo so i thought that might have been the problem. ill prob try and find another gearbox then cos my 2nd gear crunch is pissing me off! get the whole lot out the way in one swoop!
when i get round to it!!!!
until then ill check out adjusting my clutch huh. nice one jonny!
