Hi there,
beat this one,
took the ed30 out yesterday with wife on tow,two children rear seat, drove on twisty B class, fast sweeping A class, twenty mile coastal drive, then back to home address on twisty B class, total mileage.. 93 miles, average consumption..35.4mpg.ok i was driving sensibly but certanly not pedestrianlike, the more i drive this car the more i love it,
what other 227/230bhp car would manage this, one thing ill let you know for free the 55 plate gti would not manage this,
For all you people who critisised the ed30,PLEASE READ AND DIGEST

Not sure what u mean by that, just came back from devon, take average 38.6 mpg, trip average speed 42mph, travel time 2hrs 15 mins, includes motorways + a roads, so sorry my 05 gti does top the ed30 on fuel ecomany, your old machine must of been poorly or using  fuel

For some reason i could not manage to better 33/34mpg on the 55 gti,i think a lot is down to that turbo spooling up,a few revs further down than the ed30,both use 95 ron unleaded from the same outlet, anyway this week the bluefin is being fitted so we will watch and see????
thanks

I've found that overall you still get the same out of a tank with the bluefin, around 320 miles, I do more town driving than motorway! So its all good!

I noticed inside my Ed30 fuel cap it said 98 RON... so I filled with the 98 RON stuff. I'm all up for putting in the expensive stuff if it makes the car run better etc - but I take it 95 RON will run fine too if I'm feeling a bit poor?!?

98 is the preferred go go juice. 95 is fine but you may find a reduction in performance as the engine will retard the ignition to suit the type of fuel being used
