Title: MK2 Roof lining
Post by: Retrocool on 17 June 2007, 12:02
Hi all,

Another week, another problem, driving along at 60mph with the back window open, look in the rear view mirror to find the headlining has come unstuck and half come away from the roof!!

Apart from being an eyesore, I can't see out of my back window.

How would should i go about sticking this back on?? Are any glues that are better for this than others, are there any i should avoid??

Thanks

have you lost the plastic trim piece goes between the c pillars across the back, that holds it up?  :undecided:

DO NOT use contact adhesive like evo-stick because it will start to melt/warp the lining. mine looks like theres been a fire in the back

i'd use good spray glue, like the stuff they use to fix carpets down with.

just do NOT use contact adhesive as the solvents will starts to melt the lining... mine has shrunk and rippled and looks gash!

carpet spray glue would be a good choice
