Afternoon i have just bought a convertable golf and there does not seem to be any power going to the hud.Does anyone know where there is a fuse or relay.cheers.
-
ooh, another cabby locally ey
ill have to pop along and see your ocollection sometime dude
-
What model?
MK1 or MK3?
If its a mk3 then they work with hydrolic fluid.
Dont know anything about mk1's sorry :embarassed:
usual checks...
Fuses, Switch, Trace wires back (possibly broken wire), hydrolic fluid level (mk3)
-
yep it's a mk3 level is fine, but a test lead into the red wire and have nothing.
-
Dont know the fuse number but pull them all out one by one.
If they are fine then test the switch or bridge the wires on the connector block and see if something moves
mk3 switches are pants

Borrowed my boses wife's one a couple of years ago, to operate the roof the engine had to be not running with the ignition on, so could well be a relay!
Good luck
