Title: Two Aerials?????

Hi folks,wondering if anybody could clear something up for me.

Got a 'm' reg mk 3 gti16v and its got a wing mounted aerial and one on the roof.

Any idea why this is?

The 16v should only have the roof mounted one......the 8v came with a wing mounted aerial and it sound's like it's had another wing fitted during it's life...best bet is to remove the wing aerial and fit a rubber bung (from ebay etc)

Sorry kr1s77 I meant that the 16v only came with the roof aerial  but the 8v had the either (changed location in about 95) mine came with a wing aerial from the factory....so I had to drill the roof!!

my mates vr6 has a wing mounted aerial,but no roof aerial...
