Title: Instrument cluster not working

Hi i just replace my battery and not the instruments don't work the LEDs work as normal but the speedo and rev don't move mfa has all the arrows light and all numbers are 0 is it a stupid mistake i'v missed or is it worse?

its a 91 8v gti if that helps.

please help

Start the engine, pull the fuse 21 out, and then put it back in.

Haven't done this myself, I just copied it from doing a search on Rev counter MFA.
