Title: wiper/mfa stalk

has anyone got a golf with no intermittant wiper on the stalk? (pull down wipe) Mine doesnt work but i looked and it seems its not supposed to be able to be pulled down. its the one with a mfa. ??? ???

when u pul the wiper stalk down, it wipes after every few seconds you mean?

mines like that if thats what u mean

When I first had mine, it was so stiff up and down didn't think I had intermittent or super fast, but easied it past the stop and it worked.

it feels like it will snap if i force it down tho.
might get a stalk from the breakers and see what happens

make sure thats the right one for your car that stalk is for models made after 1990

I heard someone mention elsewhere that on the MK1 for some strange reason VW sometimes put a piece of plastic in the wiper stalk to stop it moving down.  Then all you have to do is remove it, hey presto intermittant!!  ::)

if any one needs a wiper/mfa stalk i have one for a 90 model on wards (with hazard light switch on colum)i bought it thinkin it would fit my 89 gti but it didnt!!!, fixed old one  so now have this one up for grabs ?10 plus postage!!
