Hello all - new around here other than to say hello when I put my order in, hello again now shes finally arrived.
Just ticked over to 1,200 miles (2 months old) and has developed an infuriating fault: at low revs or idle in D, S, R or paddles the engine will just cut out completely and without warning, never had the problem if its idling in N or P, (first time this happened I was in the middle of the magic roundabout at Hemel, can't imagine much of a wose place to be with no engine!). Will start again straight away (of course once N or P is engaged) with no problem. Its maddening as it only happens now and again and inevitably it will behave when I take it back in to the dealers....
Anyone else had similar issues or suggestions?
Matt

Does the computer display anything in particular when the problem happens? Such as showing ALL selected? I had that and it was a failed Mechatronics Module on the DSG. Your dealer should be able to diagnose your fault very quickly.

No - nothing like that at all, no display warnings or anything odd
Hope you are right about the dealer....
Thanks!

Do you find it happens when the car is just warming up or does it happen when it's at normal operating temp ?

I had a problem with my last MKV DSG (albeit the diesel version). It kept cutting out just as I put more throttle on - does yours do the same?
If so then it could be the ECU controller, as mine was replaced under warranty and there were quite a few threads on other forums quoting the same issues.

Seems to do it hot or cold...
Sounds a bit more like Hurdy's problem although happens when I engage a "gear" rather than putting the throttle on. Did you have any issues at higher revs?
Got to wait a week to get it into the dealers due to a shortage of courtesy cars...grrrr...
