looking to buy a transporter for surfing in the not so distant future.
Just wondering if anyone can provide links to a similar forum to this based around transporters?
I did have one bookmarked but I lost them all :undecided: and now I can't remember the address.. I know it had seperate areas for each model, T3, T4 etc.
Anyone??
thanks ;)

This is the place to be, just spent the weekend with this lot down at Bristol Volksfest and had a cracking time.
The forum is really great for anything technical or for social, plus they have a gang of crap surfers who try to meet up as often as possible and fall off surfboards.

MOst of em surf in wales I think, I'm only just getting back into myself after 10 years of non boarding. I'll be heading down to north Devon for a few weekends later in the summer and got a week in north cornwall with the wife in late July. I've got a beaten up Mini Mal that's nearly 20 years old!

mini mal? Pretty good for north devon then. Its been pretty awful of late around north devon either messy or flat. I surf there regularly ( only its "up to north devon" for me i live in east devon.) I got a 9'6" local shaper's board. its pretty :)
My GF surfs either a 8' or her custom (in the literal sense ie shaped around her size and style) billabong - dont remember the size.
We NEED a van, fed up of getting changed on the bl:undecided::undecided:dy carpark and we have the only golf that you cant get a roof rack for apparantly (mk3 5door) so we use a soft roofrack which is not doing the roof or door seals any good.
So, Transporter it is! We were looking at Mazda Bongos but they're tiny compared to Transporters and Transporters look so much better.
My dad's a carpenter so he can do some of the fittings inside as well :)

Sounds cool (apart from the roof rack). I love my wedge and touch wood it's been pretty reliable so far although it's a tad thirsty on the old juice!
