yep, the lock nut would be missing, anyone got any tips on how to replace it??

Sometimes the track rod ends were "crimped" on one side. If you need to replace this type, you fit a complete arm. The other side should have the t.r.e with the lock nut on if.

Yip....the right hand side track rod and track rod end are 2 seperate items which can indiviually changed! Te left hand side came as one unit from the factory which means having to change the whole track rod, the new ones have the replaceable track rod end......just make sure that you have got the same length when you put it back on. Replacing the track rod is a bit of a K*nt im afraid :-[
