Post by: Bigdunc on 04 June 2007, 08:58
hi my car is starting to get really nosey i haven been told it's probably my valve tappet, i was told i could maybe flush the system using flushing oil. is there any other addative i could use without a full oil change . if the valve tappet need replacing is it a big job?

Wynns hydraulic tappet treatment, fiver from halfrauds.

doesnt beat getting new tappets and doing it properly tho.

flushing did nothing on mine nor did tappet treatment. bite the bullet and get new tappets. i did and have never looked back (at the £160 bill!)
