Title: drilling filler?
Post by: e11ie on 03 June 2007, 13:16
Iv just cut out a load of rust from my rear number plate recess and filled it but didnt bother keeping any holes for the number plate cos it was too fiddelly. My initial idea was to just get some double sided tape for the number plate but I'm afraid of pulling the paintwork. So would i be able to re-drill some small holes? They're filled with wire mesh, isopen p40 n then isopen p38...cheers

I think the filler would just crack and crumble as soon as you try to screw in. maybe just try the double sided tape; a quick respray is easier than having to re-fill it again.

just go to a motor shop and get the tape that is intended for number plates. this is what i used as i have no holes. doesnt effect the paint work wot so ever.
