Yes, but if you read in the audio section it will need some modifications to make it work.  Also, it won't do all the features like dim the display when the lights are turned on... and it won't work with the steering controls.

For about £70 you can get a CanBus adapter which will make everything work flawlessly, and you won't need to cut any wires!

You need to re-wire it for power...

ok, why does that need doing tho, on CAD it says the iso for the vw is just a simple converter no cutting of wires needed.

"This adaptor will enable you to replace your factory fitted stereo with an aftermarket unit. It converts the cars original wiring plug into a standard ISO connection for all new stereos. You simply plug one end of the adaptor into your cars original wiring harness, and the other end into the new stereo, no cutting of wires is necessary. Fits the following models:"

Not really sure... I haven't got my car to look yet!
I think its something to do with the stereo looses all settings when you turn the ignition off.  The wiring doesnt support switched ignition?

I'd rather pay the £70 and make sure everything will work perfectly.  My last car didnt dim my stereo display when I put the lights on, and it annoyed the hell out of me!

I do have one of those cheap ISO connectors here, but I decided against using it.

hum, surely the power is already in the wiring for the standard hu, so i dont understand there needing to be additional power :-|

you have to do something with the aerial too??
