Sounds a lot, £33k for an R32. Have you looked at the Audi S3. If I was paying that sort of money, I would choose the S3 over the R32. I await all the banter I'm going to get for saying that.

The S5 with be around £39 AFAIR, to be honest I wouldn't blow £33k on a R32, as much as I love mine, and the GTi before it, I'd have a BMW 325 or 335 coupe.

S3 is fab! If I had the dough I'd buy it myself! Not that I complain about my choice, but S3 is... S3!

S5's around £38k. Standard A5's start at £33k. A soooped up S5 with all the extras is around £44k.

My mates ordered an R8 and hes paying £76k for that! pitty hes got 20months to wait.....

If your paying £33k for an R32, then you probably are getting a DSG version. S3 is a great car, but doesn't come with DSG and is 3 doors only.

It would help us if we knew your requirements a little more. ie do you need 5 doord, auto, sat nav etc

For £33k it must have just about everything, including Recaro's

I bought mine last September. I bought it tax free but the UK price was £33k. It has just about everything on it and I am due to sell up later this year. I have been considering an A4 or A5 but the A5 is a bit pricey for the nice one, the A4 is getting a new model soon and not sure on it yet and the RS4 is also bit pricey! Will probably go for another R32, same spec as this one

My R32 will be American spec its $33k not in euros and i was told the only option you can get is nav and thats included in that price so its loaded not sure what would normally be options but the dealer said everything is standard in the 2008 R32.

Im not sure on the US Spec, in UK, they started at 24k and went up to about 33k. Seats, satnav, ipod, dsg, sunroof and many others were all options. Cracking car whatever the spec, DSG is brilliant, smooth as you like in traffic and the paddles are brilliant when you fancy a burn.

$33k, that makes more sense. Current exchange rate between US/UK should mean that works out at about ....... 17k sterling.  Bargin!

I just read that the reason the 2008 still only had the 3.2 liter was because the dsg system couldnt handle anymore power then that so does this mean that i wont be able to make this car any faster with after market mods?

I believe it is quite hard to "overclock" the V6 engine to any meaningful degree, unless you spring for a turbo. Something like HGP: http://www.hgp-turbo.de/vw/r32.html
It is not cheap, but the results are stunning, of course.
