Title: Running problems mk3

i am having trouble with gti 8v mk3 nreg i have changed spark plug leads rotor arm and dist. cap but it still is running rough it hestitates between 3 & 5000 rpm and tick over is a bit eratic + its doing about 26 miles to gallon cruising can anyone help PLEASE

I had similar problems with my VR6,

in the end it was one of the injecters!

try taking it to a Performance specialist, they can whack the computer in and trace it
