Title: Goodridge braided lines - question...
Post by: VW_valver on 24 May 2007, 11:54
Im looking to buy some braided lines for my GTi but there are two sets listed, a 4-line and a 6-line. What would I need 6 lines for? Do some Golf's have 6 lines?  Looking at mine I can only see 4 rubber lines, 2 to the front calipers and 2 to the back calipers.

Cheers,
Andy

You need the extra two lines to hop the rear beam.

the two that hop the rear beam are a pain in the arse to fit.

Ah ok, cheers lads. The cheapest place Ive been able to find them is Rally Design at £46.20 for the 6-line kit. Thats quite reasonable isn't it? Is there anywhere cheaper than that?

Cheers,
Andy

just to clarify, the 4 line kits sold by GSF are also for cars with rear discs, they just don't include the lines for the rear beam.  Other places sell 4 line kits suitable for carbed cars, which have 2 front caliper & 2 rear beam flexis.

So double check before you buy if you need a 4 line kit :)
