As the title says whats the best sounding (engine) vw youve heard ?...even non vw for that matter...me personally i love the sweet sound of a vr, to me sounds just as cool as say, a lambo, but what do you lot think..?

For me, the only cars that sound good is American muscle.. especially a Hemi, they sound great just ticking over, or on full chat

I think its a big block chevy 454ci (distributor at rear of engine) probably for marine use, hence the headers way up high.. sorry to be a nerd!

Probably upset a few now.. but to be honest, asking whats the best sounding VW, is like asking whats the best sounding Renault, they never really kick off, unless you start to talk about supercharged V6s and the like..

had a white 8v with a KnN from a 200sx botched onto it , that sounded awesome
Others , well Scoobies sound ace , Nice YB cossie engine , or a mk2 Escort with a BDA and then maybe a metro 6R4 ............................... i could go on all day
