some people say 1100kg, some say 900kg.
Does anyone know for sure how heavy a standard mk2 golf is?
-
The Haynes manual says a GTI is 1003 kg's (although doesn't specify early or late GTI).
..... a good 90 kg's heavier than any other golf !!! the base models are 837 kg's according to this.

mk2's are the mk1's fatter sisters ::) :D :P

Found this bit of info on the web its mainly about mk1s but there are relative weight ratios at the bottom right for all mks. Don't know how accurate this info is but it looks like it's about the 900kg mark. Hope the link below works.

Some of the roller brake testers give you the weight of each axle at the MOT.
In the pas my car has weighed
1120kg
1060kg
1080kg
I guess depending on how much fuel I had and the amount of crap in the boot

My manual say's that the GTi's are 1030 kg if that is any help.
