Title: identifying a 2.0 engine
Post by: 83coupe on 20 May 2007, 00:17
Ive baught a replacment 2.0  engine which was taken out of a mk2. where would i find out the engine code as i need to know which downpipe to use with it. the only markings ive found on the block are the 2.0 on the back, and 140 on the front... if its a 2E where would it be stamped?

cheers fenn, had a look in this area but its only got "140" there. Ive messured the block and its deffinatley 15 mm taller. and the timing covers not gonna give away too much as theres a PB head on it with the cover from that  :smug:any more suggestions?
