Title: Flat Battery - again
Post by: Miss Piggy on 09 February 2004, 10:37
Briefly:

I had a flat battery on Monday 12th Jan. Called out the RAC, who said it was not just flat, it was dead, so they fitted another one. Got in the car this morning - and it's flat again. They are coming round tonight to look at it. I don't *think* it's the alternator - I asked the RAc man to check it last time.........

BUT - why is this happening? Yes it's an old car - K reg (1993), but it's generally OK. I haven't used the car since Friday - but should that really make a difference? Is it coz it's so cold? The car's not in a garage......

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Rae

That kept happeing to me, it turned out the boot light was staying on constantly and draining my battery. If your alternator is OK, the charge is leaking somehwere.
