Post by: phope on 18 May 2007, 18:27
For all those who wanted a blue or yellow Edition 30... :D

Coming soon to Germany, at least..

Pirelli logo makes up the wheel spokes, and tyre tread motifs in the alcantara seats

The car looks alright apart from the seats...i like the colour coding but what would make the car nicer imo is painting the brake callipers yellow and the Red line on the GTI Grille, have it yellow aswell.....not from UK but im not to sure about the whole chav thing and it doesnt sound good....hope this does

You 're forgiven  :lipsrsealed:

I think it looks a bit like a canary and looking at those seats its just been run over by a truck......
To be honest I like it. The seats are different and theres nothing wrong with that.
And I must admit. I like the rims.
They give the car a different look although they sway from the whole anniversary look thing.

Why do the LHD DSG cars get a metal foot rest and the UK cars don't?

I made an official complaint when I bought mine - and the horse$h!t the stealer told me was that RHD dead pedals are too small to make the metal/rubber one fit.  Now on my RS4 - guess what, yup, it has a metal/rubber dead pedal, and is virtually identical in size to the Golf.  Hurdy is spot on - tight-ar$ed VW.

Nooooo, I like!  I think the yellow stitching is better than the red on the Ed30 <awaits incoming missiles>

Spot on there.  The P-Zero Rossos on my RS4 are truely shocking.   Even Dunlop ShyteMaxx are better, and everyone knows how much I hate them!

So TT, you'd like to drive around in a Bananamobile then

Can you imagine how great it would look in Blue with blue stitching and blue calipers
I think VW missed a trick there

I quite like this version, I have had a mk1 campaign (called the pirelli edition in europe) for about 16 years as was as a mk5 GTI and thats prob why i like this version as its another pirelli edition like the original GTI special edition was. Oh and as the wheels are im guessing made by pirelli there probably as well build as the original mk1 pirelli wheels (mine are still like new after 24 years) and therefore will not corrode and rot like rubbish BBS wheels.

I see blinkers!

And BBS certainly wouldn't be classed as "rubbish"!

Im not a fan of BBS made wheels as i have never seen any whos finish has lasted any good length of time, as oem or aftermarket.

Fairy nuff - ETTO

I personally think BBS are much better than some of the chavvy pikey rims available on the aftermarket.
