Over the last week pools of water have started appearing in the passenger front and back footwells of my 3dr mk2. I can't seem to find where it's coming from, the seats are dry and it almost seems to be coming from underneath... it seems to happen most when it's stood in rain so I don't think it's a hole underneath (as I had in my Mini), someone suggested door seals but I can't see where the water's actually coming in. Any ideas?
Thanks

check the drainage holes under the scuttle tray, and also the door membranes behind the door cards

I had the same problem mate, I checked the sunroof drainage holes and made sure they wern't blocked, then i took the doorcard off and checked the membrane behind. Sometimes the membranes shrink with age and this creates small pinhole gaps which allows water through. I replaced the membrane with a new one from VW and i bought the sealant that comes with it. Since replacing i havent had anymore leaks, so its deffo worth checking your membrane out.

you can use any plastic sheeting and it's bound to be cheaper than vw. b&q plastic bags are free and do just as good a job
there's a good bit on mateymatey about finding leaks, covers everything you could possibly think of!
