Title: hey!! new golf owner!!

Hi, just bought a golf 2.3 V5, first golf and first VW. Anyone who owns one and can give me a review would be nice, and also as i pick it up on weds, getting a MOT and full service done by the garage, how do i tell if it is the 150bhp or the 170bhp version?

I am pretty sure its 170PS mate for the 2.3 V5

excellent, thanks for the reply, its just that on parkers.com it shows 2, a 150ps and a 170ps.

absolutlely loving the car at the moment!! taken it for a couple of little trips and it seems to just want to pull constantly, and so smoothly. leaving work at 6 and will be able to take the fast roads and see what its like, very confortable and well build imo!!!
