hallo,
considering destroying my current exhaust system and melting and crushing it into oblivion purly because it sets every dam car alarm off and gives me and even worse my gf a headache...which she then in turn makes sure i suffer allll night.
anyhoo, want a new exhaust and i wonder if a 4 branch manifold would be worth forking out for? im fairly sure the one on is a 3 branch and currently the car is running at 125ish BHP... its a mk2 gti digi...
any info much apreciated
rob
oooo yeah, 2ltr B/E and fast cams too... reletivly sure the B/E is off an audi... meh

i saw your statement of 125bhp without reading the bottom bit of your post... i was guna say, 125bhp from a 16 yr old+ engine with just an exhaust...

a 4 branch can free up a some good midrange power, its up to you if you can afford to buy it or not. a good 2ltr 8v with fast cam, decent exhaust and a polished head should be putting out 140bhp easily.

not just mine thats too loud then how many boxes has yours got on it mine has the back box and centre box (near rear beam)also 2.0 bottom end
-
mine just has a rear straight through box... not very much fun whn driving at night in built up areas...
140 bhp!!!! not sure if it has polished heads though... might look into getting that done then.. an i'll try and find a manifold, any good suppliers or makes to look for? think i might get a new exhaust system fitted while im at it, how much should i be looking at, bout 300ish?
cheers
