Title: mk 2 oil breethers

hi i have a mk2 gti 16v and it was burning oil. i was told it was the breether pipes so i took them off and they were full of oil.

does anyone know wot causes this

Worn piston rings.

And as part of the crankcase ventilation system, the vapours are recycled into the throttle. So it is common to find some oil in the breather pipes. Clean them out and also the throttle body.
