Title: Synchromesh

I sometimes have trouble finding 1st gear in my Golf... does 1st gear actually have syncromesh or has mine worn a bit?

only got 67k on the clock...

I've been told sum cars dont have synchromesh on all gears ... but I just thought this was with the reverse or summet...



... anyone?

All foward gears have synchromesh for ease of engagement. Reverse gear doesn't have a synchromesh.
Do you have cable gearchange on the 8v?
might be out of adjustment.
