whats the little red light ontop of the steering wheel back bit do cause it seems to be flashing all the time if i have the battery conected and it keeps flatening the battery
-
on top of the steering column, should be the hazard warning light. If that flashes constantly, do your indicators, repeaters flash constantly too? sounds like its broken. can be replaced by changing the left indicator stalk I think. shouldn't drain battery that quickly though? unless battery is weak anyway or it's been going on for weeks.

no not the hazzards its a little imobiliser kind of thing and it never goes out

That would seem to be an LED thats been wired in afterwards to look like an alrm is fitted, I'd try and remove it and tape the wire where that awful blue box of bodge is :)

They're well expensive to fit and if you tell the inurance company you use it they might give you a discount mate!

I got one of those on my console - but mine is for alarm.
When deactivated it goes off, then flashes when setting and stays on when alarm set.
Mines a full closure alarm but standard VW factory fit.
Dunno if that helps at all on the matter?

Hey if your car is in the state its in the pic in your sig shows how come you have flashing lights? Is there an unseen electrical feed?
