For anyone who actually uses their rear washer, you may have noticed how crap it is (or is it just mine?!). Then i hit upon the idea that a twin jet would be far better. I wonder, has anyone done this to their golf, If so, how good is it. Has anyone ever even thought of doing this?
Secondly, i have a 1.3 golf, 1988. I wish to know how easy it is to fit (A) Central locking (B) Heated Front Washer Jets. Someone please help me.

central locking is piss easy. Volkbits sell a kit for 4 doors with remote for ?30. works really good.
afaik to have heated washer jets you just get some heated ones off a car and wire them up to come on when you turn on your heated rear screen.
I think the answer to your pants rear washer is there's a long tube before the water gets to the back of the car. the pressure isn't there like the front ones.

I've got a thre door though. Are all the bits to fit the central locking already in the car, like most of the other connections? Have you fitted a kit yourself? Also the same with the heated jets, are the connections all there?

My rear wiper is a heap of sh!t 2, I plan on shaving it off soon.

Try this it is dirt cheap and works a treat. Takes about three hours at the most to fit and is really easy.

Hope this helps mate.
I have a 3dr 90 gti which I have fitted this kit to so I know that this works well

Cool. looks quite cheap. Problem is, i doont know much about it really. Will a non VW one fit just as well, withot too much cocking around? Also, i am unsure whether that works for the boot too?
-
You will have to buy the solenoid for the boot and an extra motor i think but the kit works really well on the doors.
-
if your not getting enough pressure then just fit a non return valve in the pipe by the washer bottle, the fronts have it, I dont think the back one does.
-
I'm not sure that the front ones have a valve either on mine actually! I replaced the hose, and there was nothing in it....
Anyway, i did it today, i took off the single one, made the hole just a little bit bigger, stuck one from the front on, and its simply amazing...!! I recommend that if the rear washer on your car isn't too great, then swap the jet for a front one. Or probably better, a slightly more suitable one from a different car

So has anyone tried the idea of a twin rear jet? Or do you think yours works well enough? Now that i have two jets, its much better!!
