Post by: ecomoto on 07 May 2007, 21:09
My mk3 16v sits higher at front than rear,as the rear is low enough with 17s can you cut front springs,or does any company sell  loweringn springs, single or in pairs.cheers

the mk3 does sit higher by about 15-20mm on the front from the factory..... don't cut the original spring's as this will kill the handling/ride, you can buy lowering spring cap's that will bring the front down by about 10-15mm or your best to go for a full set of spring's and they can come as -60mm front and -40mm rear..

And i have a spare set of (60mm 1994 onward's gti) front spring's which are -35mm going spare if your intersted???..

just make sure the spring's are not the 80mm pitail one's as a few people on here are having nightmare's with being supplied the wrong spring's (65mm pigtail's for 94 onward car's)
