Hi guys.
I've just got my 1999 Golf GTI 1.8 T home. Only bought it today. When I opened the windows I began to notice a metallic scraping/squeaking noise. This noise is intermittant. It happens most when on a slightly bumpy road and just after I finish accellerating and am letting the car coast. Its hard to determine the location but I would guess at it coming from somewhere between the middle and rear of the car.
The car has only done 29k miles and the previous owner was a lady in her early 40s so I doubt its been ragged.
any help would be greatly appreciated as the noise is gettin right on my t@ts
